Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Much of Sherri’s work is with older adults and their families, so a website that is hard to use would be a poor way to start. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA wherever it is reasonably practicable, and we treat that as a floor rather than a finish line.

What we have done

• Large, legible text — body text is never smaller than 16 pixels, and it scales up if you enlarge text in your browser.
• Strong colour contrast between text and its background, so words stay readable in bright rooms and on older screens.
• Every button, link and form field can be reached and used with the keyboard alone, and the item you are on shows a clear outline.
• Descriptive alternative text on photographs and graphics, so screen readers can describe them out loud.
• A layout that adapts to a phone, a tablet or a computer, with large tap targets that are easy to hit.
• Motion is kept gentle, and if your device is set to reduce motion, the animations switch off.

Where we still fall short

We want to be honest: some content may not yet be fully accessible. Photographs supplied by event organisers, documents and articles hosted on other websites, and older material can all fall behind the standard we set for ourselves. This is ongoing work, and we keep improving the site as we find problems and as people point them out to us.

• The address of the page you were on, or its name.
• A short description of what was difficult.
• How you would like us to reply — email, phone, or post.

We will get back to you as quickly as we reasonably can, and if the website cannot give you what you need, we will simply give it to you another way.
